Thoughts on Eisteddfod

Well, what an enjoyable Eisteddfod. Our family had a marvellous time and Wrexham has been a wonderful host. So, what have been the highs and lows of the week?

HIGHS

Without doubt the very best traffic and car parking management that I have experienced, at any Maes.

A very compact and well laid out Maes.

A highly competitive standard I am informed.

Good weather, no mud and little dust.

A very warm welcome.

A lot of freebies for the sprogs.

Very good S4C TV coverage-you can't be that bad, can you?

LOWS

The fast food is frankly embarrassingly expensive.

When the Maes was really busy, the compact layout made things at times a little crowded.

The opening and final concerts were in my opinion (apart from the young singers in the opening gig), a little flat (from the tv view).

So diolch yn fawr Wrecsam and because of your efforts, our family will return and no doubt Welsh will flourish in the locality. A good result all round.
