Grangetown Tories - Oh Bless'em !

Later this afternoon after replacing my stolen placard, I received two political leaflets. One was a professionally printed and designed A5 card from the Tories, comparing their record with Labour. It was clear and well designed. Then, there was a 'no to AV' leaflet concentrating all its ire on Nick Clegg and the Lib Dems. It was clearly delivered by the Tories along with their leaflet and was put out in a ward where they finish a poor 4th in Council elections. It will annoy both Labour and Liberal supporters, driving them into the hands of the 'yes to AV' campaign. Furthermore, everything was monolingual so that will also blow it with many Plaid supporters.

All in all, they were exactly the wrong leaflets for the ward in question and will do the opposite of their intentions. It has been noticeable in this Welsh election that the Tories have spent/wasted a fortune in leaflets, in a community where they do not have a cat in hells chance. I wonder how much of their funding comes from Wales and how much from their English bosses. Yet again, Labour and the Tories have more in common than you think.
